Applied Credit Structuring

This is a three days training program, where participants using various case study will be introduced to the process of structuring three types of credit facilities. As a pre-requisite, participants should be well versed with various techniques of financial and qualitative analysis that are covered in the Financial & Credit Analysis and Structured Qualitative Analysis training programs. Listed below are the major topics that will be covered:

  • How to identify, using  the results from quantitative and qualitative analysis, key risks that may impact a borrower’s ability to honor its financial obligation to the bank.
  • Using the identified risks as the reference point, explore various risk mitigation methods and translate them into appropriate credit facility’s structure in order to mitigate and/ or minimize the credit risks.
  • Various credit facility's terms & conditions, such as conditions precedent, representation, warranties, various types of covenants and events of defaults.
  • Three case studies will be discussed to practice the credit structuring process, covering the structuring of trade finance, long-term loan and real estate & constructing loan facilities.
